We launch our 40th anniversary celebrations - QH@40 - with a who’s who of singer songwriters and traditional musicians, brought together for the first time on one stage by Scotland’s foremost fiddle player, John McCusker.

An impressive and carefully selected ‘house band’ of Celtic musicians will be joined by an exciting line-up of guests, all of whom have a long standing connection to The Queen’s Hall. They’ll perform their best known songs, classics from the past forty years and some traditional gems in a unique live collaboration. This is a very special one-off event you do not want to miss.

House band: John McCusker, James Mackintosh, Ian Carr, Ewen Vernal, Michael McGoldrick, Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow).

Guests: Roddy Woomble (Idlewild), Kathleen MacInnes, Phil Cunningham, Adam Holmes, Daoiri Farrell, Heidi Talbot, Rachel Sermanni.

More special guests to be announced.

Supported by Ettrick Trust.

Curated by John McCusker and presented by The Queen’s Hall.

This event has finished, but you can read more about folk music at The Queen's Hall and across Edinburgh here and find out about upcoming folk shows at The Queen’s Hall here.
