The first period instrument string quartet to be selected as current BBC New Generation Artists, the Consone Quartet have made a name for themselves not only with their broadcast performances on BBC Radio 3 but with live performances at Wigmore Hall, the Cheltenham and Bath Festivals and extensive tours abroad in Europe and South America.

Their programme for New Town Concerts at The Queen's Hall offers a rare and intriguing chance to hear quartet music by Fanny Mendelssohn alongside that of her brother Felix.
