The exceptional Irish singer Cara Dillon will be returning to The Queen’s Hall with her Christmas show Upon A Winter’s Night in what will undoubtedly be a magical and memorable festive experience.

Having released her highly acclaimed Christmas album 'Upon A Winter's Night' in 2016, Cara and her band will be capturing the mystery of Christmas with a collection of songs ancient and modern providing a welcome antidote to 21st century Yuletide excess.

As modest and down to earth as they come, Cara admits to being taken aback by the success of her first Christmas album when it reached Number 1 in the Indie Album Charts not once, but twice two years ago. She toured the release with a handful of shows and was amazed when they all sold out.

This event has finished, but you can read more about folk music at The Queen's Hall and across Edinburgh here and find out about upcoming folk shows at The Queen’s Hall here.

“simple and stunning”

(The Sunday Times)

There is another side to Christmas...far away from Bing crooning and Noddy screaming…it's a place where the story of Jesus' birth is retold with genuine wonder and celebrated with the dignity, passion and beauty it deserves. Christmas is one of Cara’s passions and this album and live show prove it.
