Concerts by Candlelight

Join Scottish Ensemble for an enchanting evening of music by candlelight.

In the soft glow of some of Scotland’s most historic venues, strings weave a warm, immersive sound that offers a cozy refuge from the winter chill.

This annual concert invites audiences of all ages to experience music that is both intimate and atmospheric; from pieces by JS Bach and Johannes Brahms to George Crumb and Radiohead, each note resonates in the stillness, creating moments of reflection, wonder, and pure delight.

Brand new music by Scottish Ensemble’s long-term collaborator Donald Grant will also receive its world premiere, complementing an enchanting performance to lift the spirits and brighten long winter evenings.
