Stabat Mater by Pergolesi

290 years since its composition, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater is performed by the worldwide-acclaimed Belgian ensemble La Chapelle Sauvage.

The performance, under the direction of Karel De Wilde, featuring soprano Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov as soloists.

Stabat Mater was in the final weeks of Pergolesi’s life and is forever associated with the Easter season. To hear this sacred masterpiece during Easter is a unique opportunity to experience Stabat Mater exactly as it was intended: as a deeply human meditation on grief, faith, and transcendence.
