A Night for MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians)

Almost two years into Israel’s genocidal campaign to eradicate the Palestinian population, the world’s politicians continue to wring their hands whilst taking no meaningful action to halt the slaughter.

Not content with razing Gaza’s hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, shelters and homes, Israel’s extremist leaders have simultaneously given full support and protection to violent settlers as they intimidate, attack and in many cases murder Palestinian villagers in the West Bank.

This has been done with the full support of the vast majority of Israeli citizens 82% of whom support the expulsion of all Palestinians from Gaza, according to a recent survey in Haaretz. The same survey concluded that 47% of Israelis would agree to the slaughter of every man woman and child within the enclave.

MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians) have struggled to provide aid throughout Israel’s genocidal military campaign. They have had to work in impossible circumstances and lost many staff along the way. Their surgeons have been obliged to conduct life-saving operations without electrical power, running water or anaesthetics.

Since our political leaders lack compassion or any sense of justice, we must show that they do not represent us.

Many of Scotland’s finest musicians will take to the stage in this concert to show solidarity with the people of Palestine. 

Every penny raised will contribute towards the food, water and medical supplies that the occupying forces have denied Gazans for so long.
