Ross Wilson (aka Blue Rose Code) will, with the help of a 14-piece band and some very special guests, attempt to answer What is Caledonian Soul? by offering his unique take on generations of cult, iconic and classic Scots song.

Last year’s show starred Average White Band original member, Hamish Stuart, Gaelic multi talent Julie Fowlis, triple BRIT award winner Eddi Reader and the incredibly rare talent that is Duke Special. But who will join Blue Rose Code for 2019?

Wilson said “To share a stage with Hamish, Eddi and Duke for a night of soul was nothing short of mesmerizing, it was an unforgettable, warm and heartfelt evening…”

Special guests this year are Eddi Reader, John Douglas (Trashcan Sinatras), Karen Matheson and Robert Vincent. More guests to be announced soon.

'The Water of Leith' - Blue Rose Code’s most recent release - was a Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) nominee, BBC Radio Scotland and “The Skinny” magazine's Album of the Year. Both album and live appearances have garnered plaudits from audiences and critics alike for Wilson's intelligent, passionate and lyrical mix of folk, jazz and yes, Caledonian Soul.

"Imagine John Martyn meets a young Van Morrison shipwrecked with a crate of Chet Baker records.”
