The Bevvy Sisters are Heather Macleod, Gina Rae and Louise Murphy, with David Donnelly.

Simultaneously channelling the heritage of such classic sister-acts as the Pointers and the Boswells, they put original songs with an uncanny musical empathy and spirited attitude at the forefront of what they do. Sharing the bill are the wonderful Soundhouse Choir led by Heather Macleod in affiliation with local legends The Soundhouse Organisation.

This is the celebratory close to an exciting year which has seen the open community choir perform in the Usher Hall and record with The Bevvy Sisters as special guests on their third album which they launch together and perform live, tonight.

Joining the Bevvies onstage will be:

Tom Bancroft (drums); Vini Bonnar (percussion); Mario Caribe (bass); Andy Thorburn (keyboards); David Donnelly (vocals & guitar)

*After-show party with DJ Dolphin Boy who is a well-loved figure in Scottish festival circles, and a well-known face behind the decks at parties in odd and far-flung places. At one time a cult down-tempo producer signed to Tummy Touch, he now focusses on remixes and mash-ups that marry funky breakbeats with all kinds of traditional and not-so-traditional samples. Whether creating his own seductively catchy downtempo sounds, or in his diverse collaborations with folk and indie musicians, Andy – better known as Dolphin Boy – has carved out a unique niche in Scottish music.
