Anna Poole, QC
Anna's main areas of legal practice at the bar are public law, judicial review, human rights, commercial and EU law. She studied law at Oxford University, became an advocate in 1998 and took silk in 2012. Prior to that she was First Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government.
Chartered accountant and former Deloitte corporate finance partner with over 25 years’ experience advising clients on strategic and financial issues. Now carries out strategic consulting and acts as a mentor, providing hands-on advice and support to companies.

Chair of Our Power, a community benefit society established to enter the energy supply market with a specific aim of tackling fuel poverty. Also a Trustee of LAR Housing Trust which provides affordable below market rental accommodation, was appointed to the Board of Crown Estates Scotland (Interim Management) in May 2017 and is a Director of Social Bite Communities Ltd which is developing a new approach to the provision of temporary accommodation for homeless people in Edinburgh. Awarded the MBE in June 2014 for services to social housing and regeneration in Edinburgh. Appointed to the Board of Crown Estates Scotland (Interim Management).
