Our Bar opens approximately one hour before shows start or at doors open time if this is different.
We serve a wide range of bottled beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks and currently have Williams Brothers Craft Lager on tap.
You will usually be able to take your drink into the auditorium with you and our staff will put this into a plastic glass so you can do so. Some concerts will have a no drinks policy, but there is always water available in the auditorium for your comfort. Please ask an Usher if you require this or help yourself from the jugs provided.
You will be able to order interval drinks at certain events before you go into the start of the show; ask when ordering if this is possible.
There is a mezzanine level upstairs in the Bar called the Hope Scott Room. This is often a quieter space to sit if you're looking for a table and chairs. This will be closed at some events for private receptions. Unfortunately this space is not wheelchair accessible at present.
If you are coming to an event and would like to hire the Hope Scott Room for your own entertaining, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. A canape menu is available on request.
Only drinks purchased in The Queen's Hall bar can be consumed on the premises. This is a condition of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. By law, any drinks brought into the building will be removed by our staff.
We have crisps and nuts to complement your drink but if you're looking for something more substantial there are many restaurants, cafes and pubs along Clerk Street serving light bites and sit-down meals from a large variety of cuisines.
Festival Café @ QH back this August
We'll once again be having a pop-up vegetarian / vegan café at The Queen's hall during August. Offering hot drinks, sweet and savoury snacks and main meals there's plenty to sustain you during the festival period.
Homemade cakes, pastries, soup, quiche, tacos, mezze platter... a full menu is available to download below.
