Young China Shines: Shanghai Jinshan Student Art Troupe

7 August 2012 at 6:30pm
at The Queen's Hall

For the first time in Chinese history, Shanghai Jinshan Student Art Troupe make their Scottish debut for one day only at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Inspired by the famous farmer’s paintings of the region, dance, music, singing and martial arts fuse to depict scenes of daily local life while incorporating ancient traditional Chinese instruments and awe inspiring performances from over 40 young students.

The evening begins at 6.30pm with a one hour reception where the local public is invited to participate in traditional Chinese Arts and Crafts including paper cutting, calligraphy and painting.
