A cracking double bill of the cream of Scottish musical talent. Since forming in 1990, The Poozies have set the standard with their innovative use of close harmony singing, harps, fiddles, accordion, guitar and percussion. Their line up of Eilidh Shaw, Mary Macmaster, Patsy Seddon, Mairearad Green and Sally Barker have all performed in the best bands in the folk/traditional scene and their 2010 album Yellow Like Sunshine shows that they're still at the top of their game.
"The whole album has great musical and vocal variety; Gaelic classics juxtaposed with contemporary bluesy pop songs and five-part vocal harmonies. Long may the Poozies’ sun continue to shine!" (fRoots)
Daimh are a young traditional band based on the West Coast of Scotland consisting of traditional musicians from Eire, Scotland, Cape Breton and California. They play a high energy mix of tunes from each of their respective traditions and have backed up their killer live shows with the release of four strong studio albums.
