Catriona Hewitson: soprano; Rachael Cohen: saxophone: Rachel Newton: voice/harp; Hannah Read: voice/fiddle

The City of Edinburgh Music School is a unique specialist Music School catering for gifted youngsters from the ages of 4 to 19. It is based within Flora Stevenson Primary School and Broughton High School. The Music School is funded by The Scottish Government’s 'Excellence Fund' and does not charge any fees. Pupils are selected on the basis of talent alone, not the ability to pay. Sir Simon Rattle, CBE was so impressed with the young musicians that he agreed to become patron of the School. The music school enables talented young musicians to continue their general education whilst receiving expert tuition with the best music teaching professionals. Their timetable is flexible with additional time given over to music study.
