(Please note all times are approximate)
The Hazey Janes have undergone their fair share of globetrotting in their 10 years together - they've just completed a major UK tour with Deacon Blue - all the while refining their zig-zag path from country to psych to power-pop. Alice and Matthew Marra come with an outstanding musical pedigree as the offspring of the late, great Michael Marra and they are joined by Andrew Mitchell and Liam Brennan. The combination of Mitchell’s soaring vocals, close harmonies, jangling guitars and driving rhythm makes for a compelling 21st century pop sound. The band will be showcasing material from their forthcoming fourth album Language of Faint Theory which they recorded in Spain in 2013.
"The Hazey Janes are both classic and they rock" (Drowned in Sound)
Influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and The Bombay Bicycle Club, Anna McLuckie is currently a final year student at The City of Edinburgh Music School. She has recently showcased her original interpretations on voice and clarsach of pop classics on BBC TV's The Voice and at The Queen's Hall Resonate 2014 concerts.
