The Faculty of Advocates Christmas Concert

17 December 2017 at 6:30pm

In their popular mix of music, seasonal and humorous readings and community carol singing, the Advocates Choir present their one-hour concert in aid of Edinburgh City Mission for the 21st consecutive year.

Come and sing your favourite carols and enjoy the festive readings!

The Advocates Choir was founded in 1996 and under the musical and artistic direction of Neil Beynon, Advocate and Ross Macfarlane QC, it has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious venues, including St Peter’s in Rome, St Mark’s Basilica in Venice and Notre Dame Cathedral in ParIs.

Every year for the last twenty-one years, the Advocates Choir has held its free concert in aid of Edinburgh City Mission, the charity that supports Edinburgh’s homeless.

This year’s concert will be at the early time of 6.30pm.  Macfarlane explained: “Many members of our core audience are drawn from the more mature members of our community, so I don’t want to keep them out late on these cold winter nights.  Also, it will be a chance for the other members of our audience with young families to bring their younger children, knowing that the concert will be finished around 7.15pm.”

At the end of the concert, a retiring collection will be taken in Aid of Edinburgh City Mission.
