Dead Men Tell A Thousand Tales
In concert Mikelangelo commands the stage with his thunderous baritone; part-ringmaster, part-crooner, part-beast-possessed. A prolific songwriter of the highest calibre, he plumbs the metaphysical depths and creates an exotic storybook filled with tales that are at once inviting and foreboding.
The Black Sea Gentlemen are his formidable musical ensemble, with Rufino the Catalan Casanova on violin, The Great Muldavio on clarinet, Guido Libido on piano accordion and Little Ivan on double-bass. Together they waltz, tango and polka their way through a show that bristles with humour, pathos and beauty.
"Expect danger, treachery and piratical adventures on the high seas, a bloody Western showdown in the Croatian Alps, male grooming and deportment demonstrations, questionable Eastern European accents, sodomy and tea drinking and a collection of the most entertaining and enchanting songs and musicians you are ever likely to witness”. ***** (The Scotsman)
