Garry Walker's concerts with the Meadows Chamber Orchestra have become regular events and are keenly awaited by players and audiences alike.
Composed late in his life, Britten's Suite is otherwise known as 'A Time There Was'. His early arrangement of the Mahler symphonic movement was designed to introduce Mahler to a wider audience. The rest of the programme consists of well loved works that need no introduction. Nicholas Trygstad, a pupil of Ralph Kirschbaum, is currently principal cellist with the Halle Orchestra and enjoys a growing international career as a soloist.
'....something for everyone, delivered by an orchestra that tries to make an event out of everything it touches' The Herald
