Hero as a Riddle - New Music by Martin Kershaw

7 November 2008 at 8:00pm

What lifts Martin Kershaw head and shoulders above other commanding, technically flawless saxophonists is his canny gift for melody. - City Life

Edinburgh Premier from Saxophonist and composer Martin Kershaw. With a 10-piece ensemble featuring members of the McFall's Electric Strings, pianist Paul Harrison and award winning trumpeter Ryan Quigley amongst others. The music was inspired by the artwork of Leith born artist Eduardo Paolozzi and will include a pre-concert talk on the artist by the curator of Edinburgh's Dean Gallery, Daniel Hermann, as well as images of Paolozzi's work.

With thanks to the Scottish Arts Council fund for New Music.
