Schubert: Die Winterreise

The centrepiece of the New Town Concerts Society 2011/12 season is Schubert’s winter journey experienced through two artists of equal eminence in their own fields who have come together to form “an ideal partnership in this greatest of song cycles” (Sunday Telegraph).

Their recent recording of the work won the Gramophone Vocal Solo Award for 2010 and universal critical acclaim – “a memorable performance which will surely join the select ranks of the finest recordings of the cycle” (BBC Radio 3, Building a Library).
