Kathleen MacInnes is a native of South Uist, Outer Hebrides who is a singer, television presenter and actress who performs primarily in Scottish Gaelic. In 2010, she appeared on the soundtrack to Ridley Scott's Robin Hood and on the Transatlantic Sessions 5 with Aly Bain and Jerry Douglas singing a remarkable version of Oran a Cloiche (Song of the Stone). “The South Uist singer has a voice like peat smoke and good whisky, as robust, sassy and soulful as it is supple and expressive.” (The Guardian)
