Award winning saxophonist and composer Julian Argüelles tours with guitar legend and ECM recording star John Abercrombie. They will be joined by 2 of the world’s most outstanding improvisers, bassist Michael Formanek and drummer Tom Rainey. This world-class quartet will play new music by Argüelles intertwined with some timeless classics.

Between Argüelles and Abercrombie they have performed extensively, both as leaders and side-musicians, with an astounding number of other big name jazz artists such as Gil Evans, Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, Django Bates, Steve Swallow, Dave Holland, Peter Erskine, Jack DeJonette, Carla Bley, Kenny Wheeler and the Brecker brothers. Abercrombie has a direct connection to the history of jazz guitar whilst expanding its boundaries. They both possess a unique jazz voice developing technologies with a tradition.
