John Paul Jones was the son of a gardener from Nithsdale, Scotland who became a hero of the American Revolution as the “Father of the American Navy”. This epic and uplifting musical tells the incredible true story of Jones’ life – a tale of triumph and tragedy, love and loss, and the effect of one man’s consuming ambition on those closest to him.
With an accessible score and memorable lyrics, this new concert version of John Paul Jones, specially written for the occasion, will feature musicians from the internationally renowned Scottish Chamber Orchestra. They will be joined on stage by the critically acclaimed vocal ensemble Consort of Voices, together with guest soloists in period costume, in what promises to be an unforgettable night out for music and theatre fans alike.
