The first ever performance of "Under one Sky was performed at Celtic Connections 2007 and then again at The Cambridge Folk Festival in July 2007. From Scotland, as well as John himself, the line-up features Gaelic songbird Julie Fowlis, Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub, Idlewild's Roddy Woomble, percussionist James Mackintosh, bassist Ewen Vernal, and Iain MacDonald on pipes, whistles and flute. The English contingent consists of singers John Tams and Jim Causley, accordionist Andy Cutting, guitarist Ian Carr and Anglo/Swedish fiddler Emma Reid.

The Under One Sky album is due out in February 2009 on the Navigator Records label.
