Infinite Scotland
2 February 2013 at 8:00pmat The Queen's Hall
Infinite Scotland puts the country's DNA under the microscope and opens our eyes to Scotland in new and remarkable ways.
Entertaining and thought-provoking - think The Living Planet meets QI - your memorable journey through Scotland's fascinating natural diversity and brilliant artistic life is led by Blythe Duff (Taggart) and Kenny Taylor (BBC Wildlife magazine writer/lecturer/broadcaster).
Infinite Scotland is set against a backdrop of films featuring explorer Mark Beaumont, broadcaster/author Richard Holloway, broadcaster/journalist Muriel Gray, architect Malcolm Fraser, artist Anne Bevan and Gaelic singer/folklorist Margaret Bennett. It will also feature breath-taking photography by Laurie Campbell (National Geographic) and atmospheric live music composed by David Allison & Maeve MacKinnon.
In the Year of Natural Scotland 2013, we discover just how extraordinary our Scotland is.
"Scotland small? Our multiform infinite Scotland small?" (Hugh MacDiarmid)
