Following its 2012 debut, Far, Far from Ypres returns to The Queen's Hall this August to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1.

The cast features some of Scotland's most influential folk and traditional musicians including Barbara Dickson, Phil Cunningham, Dick Gaughan, Siobhan Miller, Ian Bruce, Stephen Quigg, Gary West, Stevie Palmer, Mairi MacInnes, John Blackwood, Fiona Forbes, Anne Murray, George Archibald, Charlie Milne, Jim Weatherston, May Weatherston, Peter McCulloch, Kenny MacDonald, Gordon Stewart, Norman Gore, Donald Hay, Brian Miller, Tom Ward, Dennis Wilson, Carol Prior and Allan Prior.

The show was written and directed by Ian McCalman and it will be narrated by BBC Radio Scotland’s Iain Anderson. Far, Far from Ypres sold out Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall during Celtic Connections 2014 and received two emotionally-charged standing ovations. Don't miss it this time.
