Edinburgh Light Orchestra

6 November 2010 at 7:30pm
at The Queen's Hall

For over 30 years, The Edinburgh Light Orchestra has presented its unique blend of tuneful melodies to packed houses at The Queen’s Hall.

And once again - with the emphasis on easy listening - Edinburgh’s premier Concert Orchestra presents its winter offering of favourite melodies from the musical stage, cinema and the world of ‘light music’. Plus a selection of memorable and well-loved songs with mezzo-soprano Carole Clarke.

Music to include: A Tribute to Louis Armstrong; a selection of songs from Oliver!; a medley for orchestra from Guys and Dolls and music from the TV series Sherlock Holmes.

Just the ticket to lighten a winter’s evening!

‘One of Britain’s finest and most popular light orchestras’ (The Light Music Society)
‘a well-established popular feature in Edinburgh’s music scene.’
(‘Journal Into Melody’ - The official magazine of The Robert Farnon Society)
