Brandenburg / Cantata Series II

Dunedin Consort with its music director, John Butt, continues the journey of the Brandenburg Concertos juxtaposing them with some of his most exquisite cantatas. This programme explores the rich sound world of Bach's music. Brandenburg Concerto No 6 presents the uncommon combination violas da gamba and da braccio and the other-wordly sound of Cantata 106 'Actus Tragicus' with gambas and recorders.
