John Butt directs a starry cast in the first of Dunedin Consort's cantata programmes this season exploring the themes of Battle and Love. The feast of St Michael the Archangel celebrates St Michael's defeat of the Dragon, Satan, in the last book of the Bible. This provided a wonderful excuse for Bach to compose some of his most pugnacious, but also joyful, music. Come and experience the thrill of battle without the risk of injury, in the safe environment of The Queen's Hall.
