The Doric Quartet, now established as one of the outstanding quartets of their generation, make a welcome return to The Queen’s Hall two years after their first recital for New Town Concerts. Haydn and Schubert at their most lyrical frame the third of Schumann’s three string quartets, a performance that celebrates the bicentenary of the composer’s birth.
