The Queen's Hall presents

The Chris Stout Theory

15 May 2009 at 8:00pm
at The Queen's Hall

Chris Stout is arguably one of the folk scene’s most charismatic and open minded fiddle players. In the last year alone Chris has performed as far afield as Brasil, Japan, Singapore and Australia, while also collaborating nearer to home with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

For this tour Chris is joined by a special guest, Brazilian based saxophonist and rebeca player Thomas Rohrer, together with his long time musical partner harpist Catriona McKay. Part of this concert will feature Chris and Catriona performing music from their forthcoming duo album.

With the powerful talents of Neil Harland on double bass and Ian Stephenson on guitar, this show promises an exciting take on Stout’s inimitable style. Traditional music with an innovative and global outlook.
