The Queen’s Hall presents

Chris Stout & Catriona McKay

17 November 2010 at 8:00pm
at The Queen's Hall

Chris Stout (fiddle) and Catriona McKay (harp) are both acclaimed as leaders in their chosen instrumental fields and for their work together in Shetland's legendary Fiddlers' Bid. Together they undertake a dynamic and adventurous exploration of traditional Scottish music, challenging boundaries while still remaining true to their original roots.

Their five-star rated new album White Nights is inspired by the varying light of the long Shetland summers and the equally dramatic light and landscapes of the island winters.

"This pair, harper and fiddler, have been sparking creatively off each other for years and this disc sees them at their collaborative best so far." (The Scotsman on White Nights)
"Wonderful music played by musicians who are at the top of their game." (The Herald on White Nights)
