Blue Rose Code returns to The Queen’s Hall with a new studio album The Water of Leith which will be released on 3 November 2017.

Previous albums have featured such luminaries as Ewan McGregor, Danny Thompson, Karine Polwart and the late John Wetton and this album will be no exception, featuring Julie Fowlis, Kathleen McInnes and the incredible vocal talents of Beth Nielsen Chapman. Centred around Wilson’s own homecoming to his native Scotland, the album explores the variety of journeys that life has to offer. As Wilson explains;

“It speaks to the journey home, my journey home, the man that I am today, so changed from the wee boy that ran away. I've found a peace that I left looking for, back on the same cobbled streets, looking at my life through a fresh pair of glasses. Controversially for a songwriter, it seems, I am contented, happier than I've ever been. Given up all hope of a better past, I'm rejoicing living in this beautiful series of moments. The Water leads me back to the Shore and, from there, who knows? What I have learnt, however, is there is nothing wrong with right now.”
