To ring in 2011 and celebrate one of Scotland’s best loved customs, The Queen’s Hall is again hosting a truly traditional Scottish Hogmanay party. Avoid the pushing and shoving on Princes Street and you can enjoy a traditional ceilidh with champagne, whisky, food, music and dancing.
The night will start with champagne and a wee dram of Black Grouse whisky on arrival. You’ll then be treated to a traditional ceilidh led by Willie Fraser Ceilidh Band. Ceilidh virgins need not fear and the dances will be ‘called’ so everyone from beginners to the most experienced will be able to dance the night away.
To make things extra special, there’ll also be a Highland piper to bring in 2011 with style. A snack portion of haggis, neeps and tatties will also be served to keep revellers going all night into the wee small hours (vegetarian option is also available). The stroke of midnight will be played in with a piper and you can see the Auld Year oot as we say 'Slainte' to toast the New Year in. This is going to be a true Scottish hooley in your local venue without the hassle of gates, passes or Scottish weather interfering with your fun.
