The City of Edinburgh Council’s Instrumental Music Service returns to Central Hall this Spring for an incredible evening of music, showcasing the great work in music taking place within the City’s Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as their central bands, orchestras and ensembles.
Over 80 instrumental music instructors are employed throughout the city. These concerts give the students the opportunity to perform in a professional concert hall with allied production facilities of sound and lights, collaborating with their peers and playing to a large audience.
The concert will be packed with a wonderful variety of music that will include Edinburgh Secondary Schools Orchestra, Edinburgh Schools Wind Ensemble, Edinburgh Schools Classical Guitar Orchestra, Edinburgh Schools Jazz Orchestra, the Edinburgh Schools Clarsach Ensemble, Edinburgh Schools’ Rock Ensemble and the Edinburgh Primary Sevens String Orchestra from schools across Edinburgh .
Come and hear a mixture of Big Bands, Clarsachs, Rock, jazz, classical guitar and strings from hundreds of talented young musicians.
