Join the University of Warwick Chamber Choir for an evening soiree of music ranging from the 1500s to the 21st Century. Prepare to be moved, amused and surprised by what’s in store in this fabulous programme which has something for everyone.

This concert forms part of their annual tour, which is going around Northern England and Scotland for the first time.

About the Choir…
The University of Warwick Chamber Choir (UWCC) is a student-run mixed choir that prides itself on performing challenging music to a high standard, whilst maintaining an ethos of friendliness and fun. Under the instruction of Paul McGrath, Director of Music and Lucy Griffiths, Assistant Director of Music, UWCC has gone from strength to strength, establishing a distinguished reputation.

Its wide ranging repertoire spans sacred, secular and folk music, performing everything from Byrd and Handel to Cole Porter, with the same dedication and understanding. The choir has appeared on BBC national television in the Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year competition, live television in Greece, and on Central Television with Caliche with whom a CD of Ariel Ramirez’ Latin American Misa Criolla and Navidad Nuestra was recorded (the British première recording).
UWCC performs in a variety of locations, both in Warwickshire and further a field, with annual tour destinations including Spain, Germany, the Republic of Ireland and, looking to next year, the USA. The choir also sings regularly with renowned orchestras - including the CBSO, the London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - and works with international soloists including tenor John Graham-Hall and mezzo-soprano Doreen Curran.
