Theology and Therapy: Reflections on the Scottish Interaction

We are pleased to welcome Professor David Fergusson as our speaker. He is Professor of Divinity at University of Edinburgh, and Principal of New College. The programme will be chaired by Dr Gavin Miller.

This lecture explores the influence of Scottish philosophy and theology on approaches to counselling, psychotherapy and pastoral care. It will give particular attention to the continuing relevance in today's practice of the holistic and relational accounts of the person that were developing in the mid 20th century.

This event will take place at the Debating Hall in the Teviot Building at University of Edinburgh.

Canapés and a glass of wine included.

Please note: This event takes place at The Debating Hall, Teviot, Bristo Square, Edinburgh EH8 9AJ (Marked ‘A’ on the map)
