1 April 2011 at 7:30pmat Reid Concert Hall
An original take on Nordic & Scandinavian jazz, the Mira Opalińska International Quartet perform unique music with Slavic soul.
In 2008 Polish pianist Mira Opalińska formed her own ensemble the Mira Opalińska International Quartet. In that inaugural year, they had the privilege of supporting Tomasz Stańko’s Nordic Quintet. Her quartet has since become a regular on the vibrant Scottish jazz scene, performing original material with a recognisably European slant.
