Stablemates of Fringe favourites, The Wilders, as Special Ed & The Shortbus this white-hot five-piece from Virginia became everyone's fave rave following a week-long run at The Famous Spiegeltent in 2008, carrying off a prized Herald Angel. All that's changed is the name. Combining the virtuosic soloing and tightness of bluegrass, the band-driven rhythm of old-time, the bounce of ragtime and the swagger of good old rock'n'roll, they won a clutch of five-star reviews then went on to wow Glasgow's Celtic Connections, playing to a capacity crowd in January.
