Tattie Jam
28 August 2009 at 6:30pmat St Bride's Centre
Exciting musical brew from leading traditional Scottish cellist Seylan Baxter and innovative singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ruaridh Pringle. Melding 5-string electric cello, guitar, didgeridoo and tenor banjo with richly harmonised vocals and quirky arrangements of pithy new songs, haunting ancient ballads, funky dance tunes and keening slow airs, the duo create a sound that's unique.
"An outstanding performance of virtuoso musicianship, original compositions both vocal and instrumental, and great vocal harmonies" (Tarbat Crack)
"If you want to see some skilled vocal harmonies and traditional Scottish folk - Tattie Jam will deliver it with personality and talent" (Three Weeks).
PLEASE NOTE This event takes place in the Back Room at Acoustic Music Centre @ St Bride's Centre, Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh, EH11 2DZ.
