From a family of celebrated jazz musicians, singer-songwriter Sophie Bancroft seamlessly blends her jazz influence with a broad but discerning swathe of contemporary folk styles. One of the most inventive and distinctive artists to emerge from Scotland, she has drawn comparison to vocalists as classily diverse as Peggy Lee, Alison Krauss and Norah Jones. Celebrating this year's release of her 5th CD, Sophie is joined by esteemed musicians, double bassist Tom Lyne, fiddler Amy Geddes and guitarist/percussionist Ross Mitson.
