SFF: Sunday Recitals: Hannah MacRae

20 November 2016 at 2:00pm

Summerhall, Main Hall

Hannah Macrae

From Lochyside, Fort William, Hannah took up the fiddle at the age of seven after being inspired by her grandpa Dougie MacRae and her great uncle Farquhar MacRae. For many years she attended Feis Lochabair and studied music at Lochaber College. She is currently in first year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow on the BMus Traditional Music Course. The focus of this recital is to portray the relationship between West Coast and Cape Breton fiddle playing, highlighting the similarities and differences between these two styles.
