Tickets are now off-sale from this website but they are available now from the Usher Hall.

Haydn: Symphony No.22 in E flat ‘Philosopher’
Ligeti: Chamber Concerto for 13 instruments
Brahms: Piano Concerto No.2

Robin Ticciati: conductor; Tom Poster: piano

Please note that pianist Tom Poster is replacing Pierre-Laurent Aimard who has had to withdraw due to a hand injury.

In this and the concert on 9 February, the SCO offers the two mightiest piano concertos of the Romantic age: two pieces which utterly broke the mould. Brahms humorously referred to his concerto as “some little piano pieces” – it is quite the opposite: a symphony for piano and orchestra. Poster returns after his April 2010 debut with Robin Ticciati and the Orchestra.
