Emma Morwood: soprano; Uli Evans violin; Peter Evans: conductor

Peter Evans, principal conductor of MCO, is joined by eminent soprano, Emma Morwood, who will sing a selection of Arias from Mozart operas. Emma has been described as ‘enchanting’ (The Times) and ‘superlative’ (Opera Magazine). Uli Evans, well known to Scottish audiences as a founder member of the acclaimed Roxburgh Quartet, makes a welcome return to the Orchestra as soloist in one of her favourite compositions, the graceful Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. The concert will conclude with the 40th Symphony, a ‘work of passion, violence and grief’.

- Zeffiretti lusinghieri [Ilia’s aria from Idomeneo]
- Dove Sono [with preceding recit] [Countess in Marriage of Figaro]
