EXTERNAL EVENTS / Ludus Baroque Chamber Orchestra and Choir: Handel - Alexander’s Feast

Handel: Alexander’s Feast

Director: Richard Neville-Towle
With Katharine Fuge, Michael Chance, Ed Lyon, Thomas Hobbs & William Berger

Katharine Fuge has agreed to join us for this year’s festival performances after her spell-binding success with the Bach Cantata Pilgrimage. This year we have assembled a show-stopping line up of soloists with a return visit for Alexander’s Feast by much loved Ed Lyon who’s captivating Evangelist in the Christmas Oratorio was simply entrancing. William Berger sings with Ludus Baroque for the first time and there is a return visit from Michael Chance, who’s sublime Agnus Dei will mark a high point in this wonderful music making.

The chorus comprises a sensational selection of singers including the Monteverdi Chorus, the Sixteen, Polyphony and the Gabrieli and King’s Consorts.

PLEASE NOTE This event takes place at Canongate Kirk, 153 Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 9BN.
