Lincorne
14 August 2010 at 5:00pmat St Bride's Centre
Among the new generation of Galician Celtic bands, none has aroused more interest in their homeland than Lincorne (pronounced, "lin-COR-nay"). While presenting that particular Galician flavour of the Celtic fringe, Lincorne blend the dance rhythms and vibrancy of Latin America with the authentic melodies of their emigrant Galician roots, further enriched by the use of European idioms and instrumentation be it gaita, bouzouki, or the Swedish nickelharp.
After three years as a trio, when they last played in Scotland, this is their first UK appearance as a five-piece. A very special occasion - don't miss it!
PLEASE NOTE: This event takes place in the Back Room of the Acoustic Music Centre @ St Bride's Centre, Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh, EH11 2DZ.
