Kenny Young and the Eggplants
29 August 2010 at 8:00pmat St Bride's Centre
Claiming to be from Brooklyn (but possibly from another galaxy altogether), the Herald Angel award-winning Eggplants are 'the most amazing, amusing, wonderful, whacky band in this or any other town' (Alexander McCall Smith). They play fun weird indie pop songs about giant squirrels, aliens, kebab shops, and dangerously unbalanced librarians, amongst other important topics. 'There is genius among the Eggplants ... surreal entertainment ... energetic, unpredictable and fun' (Sunday Mail). 'Gentle insanity with irresistible tunes ... possibly the most charmingly diverting hour on the Fringe.' **** (Herald).
