Ken was part of the 1960's `Folk Revival' appearing solo singing folk and blues and also in the traditional folk duo 'The Dunedins'. He sang in folk clubs and pubs in the Lothians and Fife and ran folk shows during the Edinburgh Festival. He appeared with Cy Grant, Archie Fisher, Billy Connolly, etc.. Ken recently returned to the Folk Club scene performing as a singer songwriter having influences such as Dougie MacLean, Allan Taylor, and Ralph McTell. Since 2006 Ken has appeared at local Folk Clubs and in shows during the Edinburgh Festival and the Linlithgow Folk Festival.
