An evening of Slovenian folk dance and Balkan revelry with Folklore Group Lescecek, who come from Slovenia, in the southern part of central Europe: a country of kind-hearted and hospitable people. These students are keen to preserve their rich cultural heritage of dance and song and will perform in the traditional, festive costume of their ancestors of the 1920s. The Beggar Girls from the Scottish Borders sing wholesome, heart-warming songs of love, dreams and squeezeboxes! They are a folk band playing original and Balkan/French songs and tunes with three-part harmony vocals.
