Fiona Rutherford and Amy Duncan
20 August 2011 at 10:30pmat St Bride's Centre
Fiona Rutherford's compositions encompass a wide range of influences. It's not folk, it's not contemporary classical and it's not jazz, but it's music that loves these genres! The blend of Scottish harp and double bass combine in an unusual and exciting way interweaving melodies and interesting rhythms. Featuring original songs from Amy Duncan, whose voice "varies between endearing mature warmth to a sort of childlike innocence” (Bluesbunny).
"The emotional expression in her music is reminiscent of Sinead O'Connor. Her creations communicate directly heart to heart" (Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange).
