Christine Bovill: Piaf
29 August 2010 at 6:30pmat St Bride's Centre
Christine Bovill’s debut album "Derby Street" is now available and to celebrate this fact she is returning to the Edinburgh Festival to reprise her "Piaf" show for one night only!
This one woman show has travelled all over the UK, to Prague and even to Piaf's native Paris.
"Piaf", written and performed by Christine Bovill, is a musical homage to the much-revered French star. The show focuses almost exclusively on the music, providing a generous insight into the essence of Piaf, the performer.
In 2007, Christine's own song "Lighthouse Keeper" won the Glasgow Festival Song writing Competition.
